Our Mission & Values
We believe that our physical bodies were a created design by God, in His image, and have an innate ability to heal. We also understand that because of the nature on earth, there will be illness that cannot be overcome without intervention. We believe in using natural remedies when able, medications when necessary, and prayer always. We will offer to pray with you at each visit, but you never need to feel obligated to accept. It is our mission to provide the best and most holistic pediatric care in Onslow county by merging what we can tangibly do to aid in healing with what we believe prayer can do.
Dove Pediatrics was founded by Dr. Jacki Burnett in 2022. Dr. Jacki grew up in Commerce Twp, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan and went on to attend Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. It was there she developed a love for compassionately serving the population. She also fell in love with medical missions through student trips to Costa Rica and Haiti. She completed her Pediatrics residency at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX, after which she accessioned onto active duty in the U.S. Navy for five years. After she resigned from the Navy in 2019, she worked in Greenville, NC with ECU Health as a newborn and pediatric hospitalist. It was during that time that she realized how desperately something needs to change with our primary healthcare system and how she could play a part! In 2024, Dr. Jacki also received her certification in Clinical Homeopathy through the Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy and enjoys blending natural, allopathic, and homeopathic medicine. She is passionate about delivering the best, most compassionate patient care, as naturally as possible, and believes in the power of prayer in the Name of Jesus and the healing power of our Creator. She loves being mama to 3 little ones and 2 loyal pups.
